Colorado Food Photography | Lo Stella Ristorante | Denver, CO

Updated: Dec 14, 2019

We had the pleasure of doing a little food photography at Lo Stella Ristorante in Denver, CO last week. Lets just say the food was AH-MAZING! Here's a little more info from their site on the history of their restaurant and their amazing dishes!

"Lo Stella Ristorante is the oldest and most successful family owned restaurant operation in Portofino, Italy. It is one of the country’s most renowned historic family owned and operated restaurants for more than 165 years. Now, downtown Denver is home to this historically famed Italian restaurant, led by the 8th generation family member, Alessandro Polo.

Alessandro wanted to create an environment that would serve as a place to relax and indulge in outstanding, authentic Italian dishes while being served by a warm and inviting staff. With coveted family recipes and the freshest ingredients, this Italian fine dining experience is unparalleled and is a feast for the senses.

Lo Stella Ristorante has also had 25 years of great success in Tokyo, Japan until 2013 when Alessandro decided to move to Denver to open this authentic Italian Restaurant.

Alessandro’s goal is to give the same experience to his clients that they would have in Italy, reminding them that every region in Italy is different from the others. For example in Liguria, where Portofino is located, you cannot find the same food that you find in Tuscany or Sicily.

At Lo Stella Ristorante you will find the original recipes from previous generations like Pesto sauce, Bolognese sauce, marinara, fish ravioli, vegetable ravioli, pappardelle, tagliatelle, pizza and many other Colorado meat and fish products cooked in our style.

Alessandro has only one request: “Please don’t ask me for Alfredo sauce, Meatball Spaghetti or chicken in the pasta, we are Italian for real!”

Italian Restaurant is not a job, it’s a passion!"
